Miscellaneous Benefit Programs
The university has created programs to recognize the outstanding contributions of staff and administrators. Awards include the President's Outstanding Employee Award, President's Special Achievement Award, President's Team Achievement Award and the Divisional Distinguished Service Award. Other recognition programs include the Probationary Award, Service Awards, and Retirement Recognition.
The CSU Fee Waiver and Reduction Program entitles eligible employees (which may be transferred to an eligible dependent child, spouse, or domestic partner) to an application fee waiver and fees waived for 2 classes or 6 units (whichever is greater) at any CSU campus.
CSUSB's Rideshare Program encourages employees to use alternative methods of transportation in an effort to reduce smog and improve air quality. This program is coordinated by the Commuter Services Department.
Employees have the option to enroll in several types of voluntary insurance plans and have the premiums deducted from their monthly paycheck. Following is a list of available plans.
